Weighing and Research
Enron East Africa Limited maintains a weigh and research program at selected hub and major port terminal operations. The purpose of the program is to verify the accuracy of weight, description, and densities of shipments tendered to Enron East Africa. This ensures that each shipment handled moves at the applicable rate.
Enron’s W&R program is a member of the National Weight and Measures Association and we work in conjunction with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) to determine product classification. Enron’s W&R program promotes the equity in the application of classification and rates, which eliminates the potential for discrimination and unfair competitive advantages.
